Imagine this: Three years ago, would anyone have believed there was a disease that would kill over a million people SO FAR in the United States, and that a few million people around the world would die?

Three years ago, could you have believed that the U.S. response to this disease – COVID – would be a TOTAL FAILURE? And that the U.S. would refuse to share their vaccines with developing countries around the world? …..

U.S. Failed Fight Against COVID

Lee Siu Hin: “The U.S. COVID response has been a total failure. It is obvious that it was shockingly incompetent and among the worst in the world.”

Lee Siu Hin, is a Chinese-American community organizer from Los Angeles, California, a former Pacifica Radio KPFK Los Angeles reporter and a long-time activist for immigrant rights, peace and social justice.

Currently, he travels between China and the U.S. as part of a bi-national activist solidarity movement; he also works to build a medical solidarity project for the Global South.

Lee Siu Hin: “The U.S. has accounted for one-sixth of the recorded cases and deaths in the world even though it has just 4 percent of the world’s population.

Why?

It's a belief in American exceptionalism that leads the arrogant U.S. government to refuse to work together with the international community to fight collectively against the virus. Instead it even goes so far as to launch economic and medical sanctions against other countries.

While the U.S. has been spreading the fabricated so-called "China virus" hoax, it has actually been U.S. and western travelers moving around the world who have been spreading the virus for the past 3 years. In hundreds of cases airline passengers who were tested when they arrived in China were found to have COVID.”

Sara Flounders: “So from the beginning, this different approach of China in a conditions of quarantine with an unknown virus, and how to coordinate the testing, how to utilize a masking and emergency measures, was completely different from the US and also, the European imperialist powers.”

Sara Flounders: “At this point, now, in the United States, there is a complete ignoring of the impact of COVID. The message again and again is just go on with life. People are not wearing masks, even on public transportation, in large sports and concert and music gatherings. It's rare. It's rare to see people wearing masks or taking any precautions whatsoever.

Now, why is this? According to US figures at this time, 93% of the deaths are in people over 50. This is a very expendable part of the population.

The deaths are also among people with pre-existing conditions, for that is considered a drain on the economy. Again, it's people who are expendable. So life is going on. In the midst of COVID pandemic.”
