One of the local Baghdad police stations, heavily "protected" by U.S. troops. Iraqi resistance have attacked police stations across the country forcing U.S. troops to barricade themselves. The Coalition Provision Authority (CPA) -- the U.S. run occupied government in Iraq -- has rehired many former Iraqi police officers to maintain security, but the final decisions are still in the hands of U.S. military.
